Tatsumi is an abstract strategy game for 1-4 players where you play as a guardian dragon gathering elements and good fortune for your island.
Collect the Rings
The ring collection in Tatsumi was inspired by ring questing systems like Spyro, Pilot Wings, and Panzer Dragoon where you need to maneuver through rings to collect them. Maneuver your dragon avatar on the board to collect rings and block your opponents.
The game-play in Tatsumi was inspired by recent classics like Azul, Century, Reef, and Splendor. We strived to create something classic that pushes the boundaries of games of this type.
3D Board Adds Depth
The 3D sea board delivers both quick setup, and eliminates randomness during game-play. Every resource for collection is already in position for the entirety of the game which lets you look ahead strategically to plan your next turn. Your game cleanup is even your next game’s setup!
Smooth and Puzzley Gameplay
A simple set of two actions, performed in either order, delivers a satisfying puzzle. Will you fly then gather, or gather then fly? Will you visit a shrine to score points, or a sanctuary to gain an edge for the remainder of the game.
Score points by collecting sets of rings at a shrine. Some of the sets are straightforward, and some allow a degree of flexibility.
A ring placement puzzle exists giving you option of pursuing a points engine by creating large groups of rings, or focusing on end game bonuses by covering the perimeter markings.

Symmetric and Asymmetric
Once you’ve learned the game with the symmetric rules, flip either your dragon or your island or both to play a completely unique ring collection and placement puzzle. Combine different dragons and islands and challenge yourself or compete against others with 25+ different game-play combinations.
